Frequently asked questions.
Quick answers to the questions we hear most. The longer ones live in the demo.
01 — GENERAL
General
We handle the full benefits administration lifecycle for employers — enrollment, payroll integration, premium remittance, carrier EDI, three-way auditing, employee communications, and ACA reporting. All in one platform, à la carte.
We work best with employers with 500 or more employees. We have clients in skilled nursing, healthcare, hospitality, logistics, manufacturing, and many other industries.
BenManage is headquartered in St. Louis, with operations across the United States.
02 — COST
Cost
Nothing. You're already paying for it. Let us show you how it works and you’ll wonder why you haven’t been receiving this service until now.
03 — EMPLOYEE BENEFITS
Employee Benefits
No. BenManage serves as broker of record on voluntary benefits only. Your medical broker stays completely unchanged.
Nothing. They keep doing what they're doing. We can partner with them seamlessly, or recommend a medical broker if you don't already have one.
The full range — accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, life, disability, identity theft, legal, and more. If a carrier offers it, we can support it.
04 — ENROLLMENT
Enrollment
Three options, à la carte. Self-service through a digital platform. Live call center with licensed counselors. On-site enrollment with cafe-style sessions. Mix and match based on what fits your workforce.
Yes. The self-service platform is intuitive and works across desktop and mobile. For employees who'd rather talk to a person, the call center and on-site teams are always available.
Yes — every call, retained indefinitely. Compliance protection for the employer, quality assurance for the platform, and AI-powered analysis to surface insights and ensure consistency.
05 — REMITTANCE & AUDITING
Remittance & Auditing
Voluntary premiums are remitted to carriers only when employees actually receive paychecks. Payroll deductions route to a BenManage-managed account. We remit the right amounts to carriers, with detailed backup. You never see a voluntary carrier bill.
Three-way auditing catches it. Continuous reconciliation across payroll, deductions, and carrier policies surfaces discrepancies before they become cancellations or arrears. Missed deductions get resolved before they cause coverage problems.
A continuous comparison across three sources — payroll deductions, what's been remitted, and what carriers have on file — to ensure they all agree. When they don't, we identify the discrepancy and resolve it.
06 — INTEGRATION
Integration
ADP, Paylocity, Paychex, Paycor, UKG, Viventium, iSolved, Proliant, and others. If your payroll provider isn't on the list, we'll build a custom connection.
150+ pre-built and pre-approved carrier connections, including Aflac, Allstate, Anthem, Chubb, Guardian, MetLife, NY Life, The Hartford, The Standard, Unum and more.
7–15 business days from kickoff to go-live for standard implementations.
07 — GETTING STARTED
Getting Started
Five steps: we set up the enrollment portal for your company, deploy platform access for testing, connect to your payroll and carriers, train your admin users, then maintain on an ongoing basis. Our team drives each step — minimal lift on your end.
A current employee census, your existing benefit plan details, and a contact for payroll. That's enough to get started.
We work best with employers of 500+ employees, though we'll evaluate smaller groups case by case.
